The Differences Between Windows 7 and Windows 10 for Enterprise Users

In the IT Support field people will be using both Windows 10 and Windows 7 and it really will help you with your career if you know the differences between the two. With the new Windows 10, it isn’t the last iteration of the Operating System but what it is going to be the last numerical version. When Microsoft says “Windows as a Service” what they really mean is that it is going to be the full version of Windows but what they mean by Servicing is just updating and patching. Windows 10 was provided right after the upsetting Windows 8 and their patch with Windows 8.1. Those two iterations of Windows were very disappointing to the public and so Microsoft offered a free upgrade to anyone that had Windows 7, 8, or 8.1. That was only till July of 2016 and now you have to pay for the upgrade. The great thing about Windows 10 is that you will get free security and feature updates, for the “supported lifetime of the device.”   The new Windows 10 has some issues in regards to battery life of your device. Gizmodo did an article comparing battery life of the two with 3 different devices. The tests that they were doing were a little inconclusive at first because some days the Windows 10 machine will last longer and other days it won’t last as long as a Windows 7 machine. The reason for that is the constant background updates to the system. On Windows 10, it is constantly backing up and updating so it drains the battery a lot faster than...

Deploy latest version of iPad to employees of Medium size company in Milwaukee

I have been tasked on providing the company with iPads to each and every one of the employees. We will be going through what we need to accomplish this task. The first thing that we would need to do is determine what version iPads we are getting everyone, they have multiple versions and we would need to decide, what version, price, capacity. The next thing that we would need to consider is if we are going to be an iPad only establishment or are we going to be using computers as well. Once we have decided what iPad’s we are providing, we will need to then figure out what applications we need to install, we do know that we have to install MS Office 365 but we need to get 10 other applications added onto each iPad. We were also tasked for finishing this project in one full day, so we need to figure out how many people we are going to need in order to complete this task.   The first part of this project is that we need to determine the version of iPad’s that we are getting everyone. I believe the best and newest version for our company would be the new iPad Pro. This would eliminate the use of computers for the group that needs these so we would in turn save money on that aspect. This version would be a sizeable more than buying a basic version of the iPad. We have three versions to choose from when it comes to capacity, we have the 32GB, 128, and the 256GB. In my opinion,...

Planing Trip from Milwaukee to San Francisco

In this article we will be discussing the itinerary for our business trip from Milwaukee, WI to San Francisco, CA.  We will be discussing what we need to bring with us, we will be discussing what means of transportation there are, the hotels that are available, and also food, and any other expenditure.  I will be offering my opinion as to what would be the best idea and I would like to have some feedback from everyone regarding my opinions. The first thing that we will be discussing is the dates that we are leaving from Milwaukee.  In order to arrive in ample time in San Francisco, if we are to be flying (which would be the fastest), we would leave sometime on Sunday November 20th and fly back home on Friday November 25th, sometime after we were done.  I have looked at some flights and found some reasonable prices from multiple websites like Expedia, Travelocity, and Hotwire.  Here are a few of my recommendations: Hotwire: 6:25pm – 10:58pm with 1 stop on American Airlines for $332.20 per person https://vacation.hotwire.com/Flights-Search?tmid=9866495520&trip=RoundTrip&leg1=from:MKE,to:SFO,departure:11/20/2016TANYT&leg2=from:SFO,to:MKE,departure:11/25/2016TANYT&passengers=children:0,adults:1,seniors:0,infantinlap:Y&options=sortby:price&mode=search&paandi=true Travelocity: 4:34pm – 8:40pm with 1 stop on United Airlines for $332.20 per person https://www.travelocity.com/Flights-Search?trip=roundtrip&leg1=from:Milwaukee,%20WI%20(MKE-General%20Mitchell%20Intl.),to:San%20Francisco,%20California,departure:11/20/2016TANYT&leg2=from:San%20Francisco,%20California,to:Milwaukee,%20WI%20(MKE-General%20Mitchell%20Intl.),departure:11/25/2016TANYT&passengers=children:0,adults:1,seniors:0,infantinlap:Y&mode=search Those are my two recommendations because they are the best prices that I could find that would get us there the fastest without having too much of a hassle. The next thing that I wanted to go through would be possibly taking a Bus down to San Francisco.  This would be the cheapest way but it would also be the longest, if this is something that everyone decides that they want to do,...
