Windows 10 May 2019 Update (1903)

Microsoft will shortly be releasing the newest feature update to users in May and there are many new changes coming. While many are behind the scenes and you will not notice them, some will be more noticeable than others.   Windows Update Starting with the May update, you will have more control over Windows updates, regardless of the version you are on. All users can now defer updates for 35 days before updates automatically install. You will also have the option to defer feature updates for the life cycle of the version you are on (~18 months). After this time frame, you will be forced onto the latest version of Windows to continue to receive security updates. Windows will also reserve disk space for updates. This can vary from system to system, but it should be around 7 GB of storage that you will loose after this update. Windows will not install the May feature update if it can’t get the required space freed up. Windows can also place a system tray icon when you have pending updates that require a restart. You can enable this feature by going to Update & Security > Windows Update > Advanced Options and click the toggle for “Show a notification when your PC requires a restart to finish updating”.   Windows Sandbox Windows Pro, Enterprise, and Education versions will have a new feature that can run applications in a virtualized container that is separate from your files. Agile project management is the process by which project can be managed in small chunks. Agile make goals are to track the work you are doing and see the progression of how it might do. How they are created is something called iterations or sprints. Those things give you an eye opening on what needs to be done or what has changed.
